DJ, please pick up your phone, I’m on the request line! Word that Missy Elliot would be receiving this years MJ Vanguard Award had everyone pumped for the VMAs. To pay homage to the Hip Hop icon, Pepsi commissioned this VFX-heavy commercial featuring Alyson Stoner —the 9 year old dancer from the original Work It video—all grown up! The spot aired exclusively during the VMAs, and when Missy brought Alyson out live during her Vanguard performance, well.. the crowd flipped!
A combination of 8K, a techno-crane, VFX compositing and a lot of long hours, its hard to believe this spot was shot and delivered in under a week!
